For years, Manchester United has yearned for the right manager to take their soccer club forward. With years of the Glazers family owning the club, the club’s facilities, as seem to many, are downgraded. However, if the reports are to believe, the prayer from fans seems to be answered as billionaire Elon Musk aims to take over the club. Reports emerged he is entering a bidding war to take ownership of the great English Premier League side.
Elon Musk is reportedly interested in making a $5.4 billion move to buy Manchester United, per @DailyMail.

Out of all the people who are bidding to take over the reins at Old Trafford, Musk looks to join the party. Reports state he is monitoring the current situation and is keen to get his hands on soccer. Significantly, he has a net worth of $187.2 billion. Fans from the club would be excited to see him losing his strings to take the club to its glory years.
Elon Musk eyes a move to bid for Manchester United
As of right now, the Glazer family runs the club. But things have taken a u-turn as there was no heavy investment, the stadium facilities are not up to the mark, and the club faces colossal debts. Malcolm Glazer took over the reins in 2005. After he passed away, his six children- Avram, Joel, Kevin, Bryan, Darcie, and Edward Glazer took over. Yet, the club suffered after poor investment and slipped down the rankings.
A simple example of a downgraded stadium comes from the fact that when it rains, the roof of Old Trafford leaks. With Musk keeping a close eye, the situation can probably get better for the club. He owns Twitter, Tesla, and SpaceX, where he generates most of his revenue. Thus, things look rosy for United seeing the potential he has.
But he faces stiff competition from various Qatari and Saudi Arabian parties because they want to buy the club. It is not the first time Elon wished to purchase the club. Earlier, there was a similar situation.

Musk is a Manchester United fan!
When the fans protested against the Glazer family, Musk tweeted how he would love to buy the club. According to Daily Mail, he tweeted, “Also, I’m buying Manchester United ur welcome.” But later on stated, “Although, if it were any team, it would be Man U. They were my fav team as a kid.’ It is easy to believe.”

For years he has flirted with the club to purchase it, and probably the time is right. With Glazers open to sale, bringing Musk into the mix will be a murky situation for the rest of the clubs. No one can compete with him in investment, and the club would probably increase its overall value. Do you think Elon Musk will buy Manchester United?
