In a recent interview, he explained the hardships that he faces while being a part of so many ventures. He also highlighted the importance of “emotional investment” rather than “financial investment”.
Ryan Reynolds emphasizes being emotionally involved
In a recent interview with CNBC, Reynolds answered questions about his investment in Nuvei, a payments technology firm. During the interview, he made it clear that he knew close to nothing about FinTech. He then continued, “Thank god I’m not running the company”.
“My job is storytelling—I think at Maximum Effort, our job would be more defined in not necessarily financial investment but emotional investment. If you look at a gin company, a wireless company, and a Welsh football club, those things don’t really go together if you think about it, but they all have strong brand foundations”.
Honestly, this is what fans appreciate the most about the Deadpool star. His honesty with the fans and humility with co-workers has helped the comedic actor gain an immense amount of respect in and around the movie industry.
Amidst his new investments, Reynolds is probably suffering from sleepless nights during the last few days.

Most recently, Wrexham managed to beat Yeovil Town with a convincing 3-0 scoreline. The Welsh soccer club headed into the game with just a single objective in mind, which was to ‘win’. The fans went absolutely berserk after winning the game. After a disappointing draw against Barnet, Reynolds’ team needed the win to give them a further cushion on the points table.
However, there’s no time to rest yet. With two games left in the normal season and a four-point lead, Reynolds’ Hollywood-esque dream is surely up and running. His recent investments in the club have surely paid off. The decision to bring Ben Foster out of retirement has proven to be more than golden. While nobody intends on jinxing it, the fans cannot wait for the season’s probable final game against Torquay United.
