Speculations surround Al Hilal boss Jorge Jesus. It was reported that the Al Hilal manager did not gel well with superstar Neymar Jr. and could be shown his way out of the club. The Portuguese manager is one of the top head coaches in the league. However, his alleged rift with Neymar could have seen Al Hilal part ways with the manager. Now, it has been reported that Jesus was not the first choice manager for the Saudi side in the first place.

Al Hilal was in contact with a legendary Brazilian head coach. While both parties were said to be interested, a deal could not be reached as the Riyadh outfit settled on Jorge Jesus. While the Portuguese manager has done a great job in charge of the club, his potential rift with Neymar might see him spend his last few weeks at the club.

Al Hilal were interested in signing Tite over Jorge Jesus

Saudi outlet Sport TV has reported that Al Hilal was interested in the services of Brazilian manager Tite and had contacted him before penning a deal with Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus. However, the two parties could not reach a deal and Jesus was appointed as Al Hilal’s manager. Tite stepped down as the Brazilian head coach following the World Cup after the team was knocked out in the quarterfinals by Croatia.

“The Brazilian ‘Tite’ was going to be coach of Al Hilal and his technical staff even traveled to Saudi Arabia in order to choose a location for their residence, but Mr. ‘Jesus’ was preferred over him.”

A lot of reports covering the feud between Neymar and Jorge Jesus flooded the internet this week. It was reported that Neymar was not happy with how the Al Hilal manager was using him. It was also reported that the player had a meeting with the club where he asked them to fire the boss. However, Neymar himself has now spoken on the issue, clearing his stance.

Neymar clears the air surrounding the rift with Jorge Jesus

While there have been a lot of reports surrounding Neymar’s feud with Jorge Jesus, the Brazilian took to social media to clear the air. The player added that there is no rift between him and the manager and pages should stop spreading ‘fake news.’

“Bullsh*t… you have to stop believing in these things, pages like this. .. with millions of followers, you can’t keep posting fake news! With all due respect in the world, I ask you to stop this. It’s a lot of disrespect.”

Neymar, under the Portuguese manager, has made just two full ninety-minute appearances for Al Hilal. While his start may have been derailed by injuries, the Brazilian will be hoping to produce better performances in his upcoming outings.
