Soccer has become a tug of war this week and it keeps on getting more and more exciting for fans. The transfer window is about to expire and it leaves teams a couple of days to scramble up the deals and get the players they want. There are many notable deals in this transfer window and some are still in the works. With a dream to build a comprehensive roaster, teams are doing their best to find the missing key. Sometimes teams get successful and sometimes other teams hijack the deal, just like an MLS club is trying to do.

Major League Soccer club poaching a player

According to reports, an MLS club is very close to hijacking the bids for Greek striker Georgios Giakoumakis. The player currently plays in the Scottish Premiership club Celtic FC. The news is that two foreign Leagues are fighting for the player. However, it appears that the MLS club Atlanta United is doing everything it can to have the player.

Almost a week ago Giakoumakis was in a trade with the Japanese tier 1 soccer club, Urawa Red Diamonds. However, the personal terms remain under discussion with the Japanese club while Atlanta United doing is its best to overbid on the 4.7 million USD deal in place.

What will be the result is still unknown. However, the situation should be clear in a couple of days, as there is nearly no time left in the transfer window. This might be the reason Urawa Red Diamonds are taking their time in laying out personal terms. Time is of the essence here, and both clubs are aware of that.

Portuguese club signed the oldest professional player

In other surprising soccer news, yesterday it was official that Portuguese 2nd tier club Oliveirense had signed a deal with a 55-year-old soccer player. Kazuyoshi Miura had a decorated career in Japan and was still playing for Yokohama FC.
