American singer and actor Becky G has good news for her fans as she got engaged with MLS star Sebastian Lletget. The couple took to social media to announce their engagement. Becky G and Lletget posted a photo of their engagement captioned, “Our spot forever. 🤍.” The cute couple has been dating for more than six years and they are total relationship goals. They shared three pictures of their engagement with the first one being Lletget down on his knee. The couple was hugging in the 2nd picture and showed off their engagement ring in the third.

The long-time couples have been open about their relationship since 2017. Becky G and Lletget constantly share each other’s pictures on their social media and have been spotted together in public on several occasions.

Many expected them to be engaged after being in a relationship for years. However, now they are officially engaged and are not shy about sharing their news with their fans.

Five years before their engagement, Becky G was already convinced that they were soulmates.

“It feels like [we’re soulmates],” Becky told ET in 2017. “I’m not lying when I say that. I feel like there’s something really special [between us].”

They have come a long way since then. Becky G and Lletget have supported each other through thick and thin in the past six years of togetherness.

According to ET Online, Becky G and Lletget started dating each other in June 2016. They were reportedly set up by their friends, including Hollywood actress Naomi Scott and her husband Jordan Spence.

“[Our introduction] kind of came about while we were filming the movie,” Becky said told Mega 96.3. in 2016. “Her husband — she’s 23, they’ve been married for a couple years now — and [him] played soccer together, him and Sebastian. So Nae met me and was like, ‘Girl, you’re awesome! You deserve to be with a man!'”

They have been with each other ever since. However, Becky also revealed that she was hesitant at first. She also admitted that he came out of nowhere. Six months later, Becky took to Instagram to share about her first date with Lletget, who played for the LA Galaxy at that time.

“On our first date we talked about everything under the moon…literally,” Becky wrote on Instagram.

“I remember specifically stuffing my face with sushi and talking about our dreams, goals and visions for where we see ourselves… everything we talked about on that date we are now doing or working towards. Crazy how fast time has flown by.”

Months after they started dating each other, the couple made their red carpet-debut at the Latin American Music Awards in California. Becky went on to win the award for Favorite Female Artist in Pop/Rock.

They continued to make public appearances for award shows and events together. Becky also started showing up for soccer games of her boyfriend. If not from the stadium, Becky used to support Lletget from her TV itself.

Lletget’s first season with FC Dallas

Sebastian Lletget signed with FC Dallas in August 2022. He featured in 10 league games and scored 1 goal for the Dallas side. The 2021 MLS All-Star became one of the most important players on FC Dallas’ side this season. They finished 3rd in the Western Conference and 7th overall with 14 wins from 34 games.

Becky G attended the final game of the season and congratulated Lletget for a good first season with Dallas.
