Megan Rapinoe and Kamala Harris vs. Trump—who do you think would win in a debate showdown?

Things are firing up as the US Presidential elections get closer. Soccer stars are now joining the sporting fraternity to express their voice about whom they are supporting. While Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris are battling it out for the White House, former USWNT star Megan Rapinoe seems to favor Harris. After a heavy war of words between the two candidates from individual spaces, it’s now time for them to confront face-to-face feels Rapinoe.

Speaking on A Touchmore podcast to former basketball player and her fiance Sue Bird, Rapinoe took a dig at Donald Trump and demanded he debate Kamala Harris. Claiming that it was in the best interest of citizens, she stated, “Also he said, he’s not going to debate vice-president Harris. She said, ‘Say it to my face.’ I loved that. That was great. I just feel like she’s Kryptonite. And honestly, he shouldn’t, I really want to see it but he shouldn’t” initially asserting that Trump would say ‘something’ that everyone knows.

However, subsequently, she concluded by saying, “It’s wild that we can’t have a presidential debate. But here we are, I hope that they get to a point where they can do it. The American people deserve that,” making her point.

Rapinoe is known for her takes on social and political issues. Not only did she fight for equal pay for men and women soccer stars, she was also reported to call for gender equality and voter rights. But it was in 2019 when people saw her issues against Trump because of her belief systems claiming inequality in his administration. In fact, Rapinoe also stated that she would not go to the White House if they win the 2019 World Cup.

The election campaign has already captivated Megan Rapinoe’s mind during this phase. The former Olympic gold medalist is excited that Harris has already accumulated $200 million with her campaign since she announced her take-up from Joe Biden as the presidential candidate. Nevertheless, she has an additional reason for why Harris should be the president. Rapinoe stated earlier, “Frankly to vote for a woman and a black woman at that and an Asian black woman at that is so historic and so incredible like I just feel a huge privilege to be a part of that.”
