The second reason however was revealed by the former Barca midfielder earlier today. Speaking to the Athletic, Sergio revealed the lucrativeness of the “American dream” for him. He saw America as the premier country and wanted his family to experience it.

“The American lifestyle is a dream for everyone. They do everything big here. Your possibilities are endless,” revealed Miami’s latest signing. “It’s the premier world power. All those things add up and it makes it possible for you to have the very best for yourself and your kids.”

Inter Miami started their Leagues Cup campaign in the most dramatic manner. The scores were tied 1-1 before substitutes and star signings Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets changed the game in the 54th minute.
