It has been almost nine months since Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Al Nassr. Since then, the Portuguese superstar has settled quite well both on and off the pitch. His family has also adapted well to the Middle Eastern life. Interestingly, CR7 is taking his pick from the Saudi culture as he recently wore the country’s traditional dress.
Western clothing is something that Ronaldo has usually been spotted in throughout his life. However, now that he is in the Middle East, the 38-year-old is savoring the local traditions of the Gulf country, as he donned their conventional dress on the streets of Riyadh.

Ever since Ronaldo kept his feet in Saudi Arabia, the striker has left an indelible mark on the soccer and cultural landscape of the country. As he seamlessly blends into the Riyadh environment, the former Real Madrid forward is consistently embracing the local customs. Typically, the qamis is the only dress that Saudi Arabian people wear. Interestingly, to everyone’s surprise, Ronaldo has also finally opted for the orthodox.
With genuine enthusiasm, the Al-Nassr superstar willingly traded his Western wardrobe for the graceful qamis. The skipper created a stir among the soccer fraternity as he was causally seen wearing one on the streets of Riyad. This came after a video surfaced that was recorded by a netizen. The clip saw Ronaldo standing in front of the fleet of his cars, donning the qamis.
Notably, this isn’t the first time he is wearing the qamis as he wore it back in February during the celebration of the Saudi Kingdom’s Foundation Day. Indeed, it shows that he is making his presence felt in Saudi Arabia. It is evident from the viral video showcasing him dressed in traditional Arab attire. As per Oumma, he even expresses his commitment to learning the fundamental aspects of the Islamic language.
Indeed, it’s good to see Ronaldo blend into the cultures of Saudi Arabia. This is the least he could do for the country. After all, he was allowed to break a major rule alongside Neymar Jr.

CR7 and Neymar were allowed to break a major rule in Saudi Arabia
Curiously, Saudi Arabia had to make a special dispensation for the two soccer icons in their country, Ronaldo and Neymar. This comes primarily due to the regulation that unmarried couples cannot reside in the same household. Since CR7 and his long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez haven’t formalized their marriage, the authorities chose to waive this requirement.
Similarly, reports indicate that a comparable situation is unfolding for Neymar. The authorities have granted permission for Neymar and his girlfriend to share a residence, who also yet to exchange marital vows. Perhaps, it is possibly driven by the potential long-term advantages of having both legends in their midst. After all, these two currently stand as the nation’s foremost focal points in the realm of sports.
