Gotham FC defender Ali Krieger is going through a rough patch. Krieger has filed for a divorce from her partner Ashlyn Harris, a USWNT player herself. Megan Rapinoe in her story shared a heartfelt message with her teammate Krieger sending her all the love and energy. The couple married in December 2019 and has decided to end their relationship after 4 years of marriage. Krieger shared the news with her fans 4 days earlier.

Ali Kreiger has been instrumental for USWNT in the World Cup 2019. The former Orlando Pride and Washington Spirit defender announced her retirement at the end of the 2023 NWSL season. She posted a compilation video of some prominent moments from her career with her fans through social media.

USWNT and OL Reign legend Megan Rapinoe and Ali Krieger have built a good partnership over time. Megan who’s aware of Krieger’s divorce decision decided to share a few words with the Gotham FC defender.

The OL Reign player took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with her friend and teammate Krieger as she said, “How to even put into words, my dear. This incredible career you have had. There are far too many moments to start naming but your 100 caps. Your World Cup final 2019. And mostly all the fucks you have given and all the fucks you did not give”.

Rapinoe further added, “I love you forever Sweetie. You are truly one of a kind. An original, simply you Kriegy. Enjoy this beautiful day. Soak it all the love that is coming your energy way. Lord knows you deserve it all”.

Krieger decided to mark an end to her career at the end of her 2023 season. The former USWNT defender shared a compilation video of her iconic moments as she talked about the wonderful moments she experienced.

Kriger took to Instagram to share a post, a flashback to some of her iconic moments. The former Washington Spirit defender in the video said, “If I could describe my career in one word. That would be – Epic. I guess I have been lucky enough to win at every level and I don’t know if everyone can say that but in my first year in Germany I won the treble.” She further recounted some prolific events of her life as the video also showed some of the best moments from her career.

Krieger started her senior career with Northern Virginia Majestics for whom she didn’t play much and soon made a move to Washington Freedom. The former Washington Spirit player kicked off her career properly in Germany with FFC Frankfurt with whom she won the treble.

She joined Orlando Pride in 2017, where she met her partner Ashlyn Harris. Meanwhile, Megan Rapinoe will be ending her career with OL Reign and has already played her last home league game with the club.
