A former American soccer star, Alexi Lalas, put up the question. The founder of the State of the Union podcast asked the players who was the most famous person in their contact list. When the question was put up for Morgan, she gave the name of the famous American singer, Taylor Swift.

In the clip, other WNT stars were also asked the same question. Megan Rapinoe answered her fiance’s name, Sue Bird, while her OL Reign midfielder, Rose Lavelle, named Rapinoe. Moreover, Portland Thorns defender Crystal Dunn took the name of WNBA star and Las Vegas Aces forward Candace Parker.

It was quite surprising to hear these names, especially from Morgan’s mouth, who took the name of a 12-time Grammy winner. None other than Taylor Swift. It’s not quite unusual to hear Swift’s name as she and Morgan are long-time friends. Nevertheless, Morgan has surely left her fans in awe.

Preparations with the USWNT continue

While she made a return to her national side, Morgan is currently continuing to prepare for the friendly matches before the World Cup showdown. The USWNT will face the Republic of Ireland on two separate occasions. The first fixture will be played on April 9, while the other one will be played on April 11. They’ll be desperate to clinch a win on both occasions. Moreover, Morgan will be looking to show her domestic form for her international side as well.

The 33-year-old recently led her side to an emphatic victory on the second matchday of the NWSL. Morgan scored a brilliant brace as her side thrashed North Carolina Courage 3-1.
