Sorry Al Nassr fans but the worst keeps coming up for y’all. Things are trembling for the Knights of the Najd since they suffered the shocking defeat at the hands of Al Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup. Soon after club president Ibrahim Al-Muhaidib announced his resignation, news broke that Sadio Mané was allegedly set to part ways with the club. However, the departure party doesn’t end here as Alex Telles, convinced by Cristiano Ronaldo to join Al Nassr, reportedly looks to pack his bag as well.
Renowned journalist Rudy Galetti claimed that the future of Telles shared the concerning development. Though the Brazilian left-back, who joined from Manchester United just last season, has a contract until the summer of 2025, Al Nassr is ready to sacrifice the 31-year-old. Luis Castro and Co. are allegedly unimpressed since the former Porto man arrived at the Saudi capital and are ready to bet on the services of a new hire, which they are finding.
Interestingly, this news completely contradicts the shaky feelings when the latter was about to join the club. Star skipper Ronaldo personally pursued Telles to catch the flight to the Middle East. “Before I agreed to the Al Nassr offer, Cristiano Ronaldo sent me a message and told me about the club and that he was excited for me to accept the offer, and I immediately agreed,” said Telles in an interview earlier.

However, the tables seem to have turned. Notably, Telles lacks the reliability that Castro and the coaching staff require. The left-back made 34 appearances for Al Nassr across all competitions including the King’s Cup, Roshn League, Saudi Super Cup, and AFC Champions League, even notching 3 goals and 5 assists.
Yet, he remained absent when needed the most, mostly because of injury. Either way, it’s clear that Al Nassr doesn’t have a problem letting him go. But the decision to sell Sadio Mane confused fans.

According to various reports, Al Ittihad is actively pursuing a deal for Sadio Mané. This isn’t the shocking part, as Al Nassr is open to letting go of the 32-year-old winger. Discussions are ongoing regarding the structure of the deal, which could be either a loan or a permanent transfer.
While the agreement isn’t finalized yet, word around the town is that Karim Benzema, who has pushed his domestic side for Mané’s signing, believes his addition will strengthen Laurent Blanc’s squad in pursuit of domestic silverware.

Interestingly, Al Ittihad also targets Abdulelah Al Amri from Al Nassr, aiming to bring both players on board. Al Nassr has agreed to these potential exits, but only on the condition that Al Ittihad covers the full salary of both players. Although Al Ittihad is reportedly willing to cover Al Amri’s full salary, they prefer to pay only a portion of Mané’s, leaving Al Nassr responsible for the rest.
The duo is expected to be signed for just one season. Whatever the case may be, these departures would undoubtedly be a significant blow to Luis Castro and his team.
