Cristiano Ronaldo eyeing reunion at Al-Nassr

Al Nassr’s current man between the sticks, David Ospina, recently injured his right-hand elbow. The former Arsenal man is expected to be out for a long haul and will be traveling to Madrid for immediate surgery.

Therefore, his injury has forced Al Nassr to find other alternatives, and the search to replace No. 1 is on. The club already has a few names on its wish list. One of the names that surround the headlines is CR7’s former teammate, Keylor Navas.

The former Real Madrid No. 1 made a switch to the French capital back in 2019. He was Parisian’s main man until the arrival of Donnarumma. Since then, the Costa Rican has lost his starting luster and has become a second-choice keeper for Christophe Galtier’s side.

The keeper has been named just once in the starting XI in the Coupe de France and is yet to appear in Ligue 1 and the Champions League. Hence, the 36-year-old is eager to get more playing time and get his sporting situation sorted.

The Costa Rican has a contract with PSG until June 30, and Al Nassr is involved in negotiations with his representatives. However, PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos wants more, which has made the Arabian side close the negotiations.

Al-Nassr is also looking at other alternatives, with Al-Wheda keeper, Munir also on the radar. However, the club prioritizes Keylor as their main man.

A chance to impress the home side

While the saga of Keylor Navas continues, the PSG star will have a chance to impress his suitors. The Ligue 1 giants will fly to Saudi Arabia to play a friendly against Riyad ST XI on January 19.
