However, what the fans did not know was the five-time Ballon d’Or winner came to prove himself after not having the best 2022. It is what he exactly did as he scored 54 goals last year to silence all the critics against his Saudi move. Al Nassr, to celebrate the achievement, gifted him with a shirt that read “54 goals in 2023” written behind it. CEO Guido Fienga presented the special gift last night at the dinner hosted for the club employees and players.

The 39-year-old was not the only one to be presented with a special present last night. Al Nassr manager Luis Castro was also given a shirt with “52 wins in 2023” written behind it. As far as Cristiano Ronaldo is concerned, the last two months for him have been filled with awards. The Knights of Najd captain also won three trophies in the Globe Soccer Awards that happened in Dubai.

In his winning speech, the loudest noise came as he thanked Al Nassr for helping him reach the goal. The satisfactory scenario for the Saudi giants is that the player is ready to commit to his long-term future.
