Al Alami made a significant statement this season by bolstering their defense. They signed European talents like Aymeric Laporte, Alex Telles, and Seko Fofana in the transfer window. Furthermore, Al Nassr took the next step to extend the contracts of their defenders signed earlier. Sultan Al Ghannam’s previous contract expired with Al Alami, rendering him a free agent this season. The Saudi side proposed extending his contract until 2028 to retain him in the squad.

Evidently, Ronnie’s side intends to solidify their defense further to better withstand challenges from rivals. Reports suggest that Al Nassr is currently in discussion to renew the contract of their left back, Ayman Yahya. The Saudi Arabian defender joined Al Alami in 2019 and next went for a loan spell at Al Ahli during the 2021-22 season. Yahya returned to the club this season but will become a free agent by the following year. As a result, Al Nassr looks forward to renewing his contract until 2027. This would maintain their defense’s excellent shape and help to continue the impressive performances.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has finally decided on the club to conclude his illustrious soccer career. CR7 ended all the speculation, opting to hang his boots with the Al Nassr whenever the time arrived.

Cristiano Ronaldo made his retirement decision

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in the winter transfer window after an unsuccessful second spell with Manchester United. CR7’s arrival provided an important boost to the squad. He played a crucial role in securing a comfortable position in the Saudi Pro League, emerging as the top scorer at the start of this season. Al Alami will be the final chapter for the United legend after playing for four different clubs in the 21 years of his career. Supporters were hopeful that CR7 might play his final games with his boyhood club, Sporting CP. However, Ronaldo has built a robust bond with Al Nassr within a season. Ronnie’s contentment with Al Alami made his decision more comprehensible at this twilight of his career.
