Injury and Team News

Al Hilal: The most successful Asian club faced an enormous blow after their marquee player Neymar was ruled out for the entire season in October 2023 due to an ACL tear. A few other issues with injuries persisted recently with main star Aleksandar Mitrovic sidelined for a few games after a hamstring injury in Paril. While the Serbian is back and kicking, Neymar will remain away for a few more months. The rest of the squad doesn’t have any issues and is ready to go.

Currently, their second-best player Anderson Talisca still remains out due to a thigh muscle wound from March. Al Nassr is also without striker Mohamed Maran because of a joint ligament issue. Additionally, Nawaf Al Aqidi is serving a 5-month ban, and Aymeric Laporte is out after receiving a red card against Al Riyadh.

The other 18 games ended in a draw. Coming to this season, apart from the friendly Arab Cup, CR7’s team hasn’t beaten Al Hilal even once.
