Saudi side Al-Hilal is ready to take massive steps during the winter transfer window. According to reports from the Saudi media outlet Arriyadiyah, the club has temporarily suspended Neymar Jr‘s contract registration with the club. The team hopes to bring in a replacement during the winter transfer window and aims to register the player in Neymar’s place.
According to the existing rules, Saudi Pro League sides can only register eight overseas players for a season. Notably, Al-Hilal has all the places covered, and the team hopes to make some room by excluding Neymar, who is unavailable for the rest of the season. The Brazilin suffered an ACL injury in an international game against Uruguay last month that has ruled him out for nine months.

In a massive turn of developments, Al-Hilal has taken Neymar off their first team, with the effect set to come into play during the winter transfer window. While the team will continue paying the astronomical wages, the Brazilian soccer star will no longer be a part of the first team until they re-register him with the squad.
While this is a colossal blow to the side, Al-Hilal has proved their mettle even without the presence of Neymar. The side is currently at the top of the Saudi Pro League standings with 32 points from twelve games. The team is aiming to bolster their defense in the upcoming winter season and may pursue a marquee signing who could occupy Neymar’s position.
Often unlucky in his career, Neymar suffered a dreadful injury last month as he ruptured his ACL. The player has now undergone surgery and will be unavailable for the rest of the season. Medical staff from Al-Hilal and Brazil’s national team predict the Brazilian’s return to shape up before Copa America 2024.

Brazilian superstar undergoes surgery
Al-Hilal’s Neymar Jr successfully went under the scalpel last week in Brazil. Brazil’s national team medical staff conducted the surgery at the Belo Horizonte. The hospital has released the player following a successful surgery, and he will now go through the recovery process.
Neymar ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and meniscus in his left knee on international duty. The player has had a career marred with injuries one after the other. Despite leaving PSG to Al-Hilal in an attempt to revitalize his career, the gods of doom loomed over him yet again. The club has signed the player to a two-year deal that sees him take home over $400 million in wages. Fans will hope the player can rapidly return to the club as soon as possible.
