Al Nassr returns to action late Thursday night in an attempt to extend their winning streak. The Knights of the Najd will travel to Najran as they face Al Akhdoud at the Prince Hathloul Bin Abdul Aziz Sport City Stadium. Currently occupying the second spot on the table with 74 points, this is the fourth-last match remaining for the Riyadh side to play to at least keep their title hopes alive till the final matchday.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. are coming off an emphatic 6-0 win against Al Wehda. Al Akhdoud, on the other hand, is in a relegation battle. They are sitting in 15th place with just 28 points, equal with Abha but are above them due to goal difference. The hosts are coming off a stalemate draw against Al Hazm. Yet, both sides will look to clinch the crucial three points.

Andrei Burca, the center-back for Al Okhdood, had earlier sustained a muscle tear and still remains out for the rest of the season after being replaced just 23 minutes into their victory over Abha. Hence, Solomon Kvirkvelia, the Georgian defender, filled in for Burca last week and is expected to continue partnering with Saeed Al-Rubaie in the center of defense.

Al Akhdoud predicted lineup

(4-1-4-1): Vitor; Faraj, Kvirkvelia, Al-Rubaie, Al-Mansour; Al-Habib; Al Zubaidi, Pedroza, Collado, Godwin; Tawamba

Al Nassr injuries

Al Nassr will face some absences in their upcoming match, with manager Luis Castro unable to travel following lung surgery last month. Additionally, Waleed Abdullah (leg), Anderson Talisca (muscle), Abdulrahman Ghareeb (muscle), and Sami Al-Najei are sidelined due to injuries. Furthermore, Nawaf Al-Aqidi remains suspended for five months.

Although there was a previous report stating that star center-back Aymeric Laporte would miss the next three fixtures for Al Nassr to serve his long-due suspension following his red card incident in the AFC Champions League quarter-final, he will be returning to action in Najran to refute the rumors.

Even though Al Akhdoud has secured six out of their eight wins this season at home, they are anticipated to face challenges against Al Nassr, who are heavily favored going into this match. Unfortunately, the home side would be further pushed down the regelation zone and might also miss their chance to at least nail their first-ever win against the Yellow and Blue.

While the league title is expected to be officially claimed by Al Hilal this weekend, we believe that the Knights of Najd will extend the competition for a few more days by clinching victory in this encounter. We reckon the score will be Al Akhdoud 0-3 Al Nassr.
