Cristiano Ronaldo is in great form and so is Al Nassr. After a weak start to the Saudi Pro League, Al Nassr has bounced back with 4 straight wins in the SPL. To add another win on the trod, Cristiano Ronaldo will be looking to face his next opponents. And what’s worse is that his opponents, who have only lost one fixture in the league, have announced bonuses if their team defeats Al Nassr.

The Knights of Najd are set to host Al Ahli at King Saud University stadium, Al Nassr’s home. Interestingly, the Jeddah club has spent over $200 million in the transfer market.

Money is never an issue for the Saudi clubs. The Saudi Pro League has already spent over $1 billion in the transfer market to bring in world-class talents. Al Ahli, too, was a big player in the European exodus.

Ah Ahli boasts a squad managed by former RB Salzburg coach, Matthias Jaissle. The summer saw an overhaul on the pitch as well. Notably, Roberto Firmino joined on a free transfer from Liverpool, Riyad Mahrez was bought from Manchester City for $37.4 million, Roger Ibanez from Roma for $32 million, and Allan Saint-Maximin from Newcastle United for $29 million.

Despite spending $210 million in the transfer market, Ah Ahli is ready to splash out some more. Al Ahli has promised ‘incentives and bonuses’ for its players if the club comes home with an away win against Al Nassr. Al Ahli is in good form with 5 wins and 1 draw in their last six fixtures.

Having thrown humungous amounts of cash at the problem by bringing world-class talents, things still don’t seem to be working out for the Saudi Pro League.

Ryan Reynolds’ net worth stands at an impressive $350 million. However, it dwarfs in comparison to the financial muscle of Saudi Arabia. Despite the vast difference in resources, there’s an intriguing twist on the pitch.

Wrexham boasts an average attendance of approximately 10,204 dedicated fans. Surprisingly, the Saudi Pro League, home to star-studded squads including Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Karim Benzema, lags behind with an average turnout of just 8,500 this season. It’s a compelling reminder that money can’t always buy fan enthusiasm.
