They are contesting for the automatic promotion against their archrivals, Notts County. Both are playing tug of war to win the fifth division title. In fact, besides the teams, their respective players are also battling for individual honors.
Paul Mullin’s arch-rival compared to Erling Haaland
Wrexham star Paul Mullin has scored 31 goals for the Red Dragons so far. This is a pretty impressive number to achieve. However, his arch-nemesis Macaulay Langstaff, who is from Notts County, is ahead of the Welsh striker as he has scored 40 goals.
Moreover, famous soccer presenter and broadcaster, Becky Ives has hailed the England-born striker on Twitter. She wrote, “Macaulay Langstaff is an absolute baller. 40 goals this season, equalling a league record with 5 games to go…He’s the Erling Haaland of the Vanarama National League. Incredible scenes….”

This is quite a compliment to Langstaff, who is leading his side to glory. The striker recently scored his 40th goal of the season against Altrincham. Moreover, with his recent strike, the player has broken a 92-year club record, having scored 40 goals in a season.
This is indeed a huge milestone to achieve, as he is close to winning the top scorer’s record in the league. Mullin will continue to chase his arch-nemesis and try to disrupt his chances of winning the trophy. Nevertheless, both players are contesting against each other and are hopeful of emerging victorious when the two sides meet in the near future.
