Manchester United will be one of the clubs active in the upcoming transfer window. They will look to sign a striker in the summer. With few high-profile strikers on the market, the Red Devils will have to break the bank to land a prolific goalscorer. However, one fan named a few goalscorers that United should sign in the summer.

BBC Live Show 606 hosts discussed the players Manchester United should target for the next season. One of the fans called between the show and urged United to look to the National League to solve their striker problems. The two names he presented were that of Paul Mullin (Wrexham) and Macaulay Langstaff (Notts County). Mullin scored impressive 38 goals in the league this season in 46 appearances.

Langstaff outscored Super Mullin with 42 goals in the league, winning the Golden Boot and Player of the Season. Now that Wrexham and Notts County got the promotion to League Two, they will hope to keep hold of their star strikers. But the bold claim by the fan left co-host Robbie Savage in disbelief. Savage thinks it will be difficult to see United going for the lower-division striker if they qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

It looks like an outrageous transfer claim. However, Mullin does have a chance to impress United in the preseason friendly.
