But on Friday, the Portuguese superstar created history by scoring a hat trick, making fans react as he set two records. The first was crossing 500 league goals, and the second was scoring a hat trick in the 14th consecutive year. 

Fans react to unique feat by Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo is the name that goes with longevity and consistency in soccer. He has been delivering goals since he started playing soccer. After becoming the highest-ever goal scorer last year, Ronaldo achieved a unique feat on Thursday when he scored all four goals for Al Nassr in a game against Al Wehda. 

Soccer fans were soon to react on social media, and some sparked the debate between Ronaldo and Messi. The fans praised Ronaldo for his longevity and consistency. Some fans labeled the former Real Madrid superstar as GOAT, hailing him for the unique feat. “Aging like fine wine,” wrote one fan.

Some fans pointed out that the player now plays in the easy league and can score as many goals as he can in a game, and no one should be surprised. One fan reminded he still has two fewer Balon d’Ors than his arch-rival Messi despite breaking goal-scoring records.

Ronaldo crosses 500 league goals

The former Manchester United superstar achieved another milestone in his club career when he scored the opening goal against Al Wehda. He came into the game with 499 league goals, and when he scored with his left foot in the 21st minute, the player entered the 500 league goals club.
