Cristiano Ronaldo made a sensational move to Juventus in 2018 against all odds. It came as a shock to Madrid fans. Ronaldo left his legacy in Madrid for a new adventure. However, a move away from Real Madrid didn’t go well for the Portuguese. The Los Blancos also struggled to make up for the goals Ronaldo used to score.

Back in 2018, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez gave an update on bringing Ronaldo back to the club. “Cristiano has remained at the heart of all Madridistas,” Perez told El Chiringuito in 2018. “If I saw him today, I’d give him a big hug. He’s the worthy heir to Alfredo Di Stefano. One day he’ll return to Real Madrid,” the president added.

Meanwhile, the stance of the president changed over time. Ronaldo moved to Manchester United from Juventus in 2021. The 2021-22 season for the Portuguese went well.
