There were a lot of opinions when Cristiano Ronaldo signed for Al Nassr. Despite all this, the Portuguese veteran is in his second season with the Riyadh side. So far, it has been quite a rollercoaster ride for him at the Gulf Club. As per his contract, the attacker has to stay with Faris Najd till 2025, after which he would need to decide on his next step. Some once speculated that he would return to Europe before retiring.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo will be putting an end to his domestic career at Al Nassr. This comes from the mouth of a renowned Saudi journalist, who insists that the CR7 has expressed his desire to retire in Riyadh to the bosses of Al Nassr. This would mean that Al Nassr will be his last club and a dream European return is not on the table.

Indeed, this is a surprising revelation about Cristiano Ronaldo’s domestic career. Many thought he would end his career at Sporting CP, where it all began for the legendary player. But it seems the Middle East has his heart and he would happily conclude his domestic journey there. Perhaps in Ronaldo’s mind, there isn’t anything left to conquer in Europe, as he has endured an outstanding career with a host of clubs.
