Speaking to British host Piers Morgan on the latter’s show Piers Morgan’s Uncensored, Ibrahimovic discussed the motivation of earning money as a soccer player while referring to the situation in Saudi Arabia. Speaking bluntly about the situation, Zlatan said, “Let’s say the Saudi situation. Now a player that made a lot of money goes there to make even crazy more money does it change your life? Because I will tell you you will die before you waste your money you already earned than the money you get in Saudi, so it will not make a difference.”

“Certain players need to finish his careers on a big stage. Because that is like the high end of your career,” he continued.

“So I think certain players that reach a certain level, they have to stop at a certain stage. And that’s the big stage…. But some players needed the situations where they can earn a lot of money because they didn’t earn enough.”

When asked by Piers Morgan about how much he would be worth today, should he die now, Zlatan said, “I don’t know I don’t know probably half.” Further, when Morgan asked whether that was half a billion US dollars, the Swedish center forward said, “Yeah.”
