Shakira went through arguably the darkest phase of her life after separating from her longtime partner, Gerard Pique. Time after time, the Colombian is proving that she is not ready to hide the realities of her past relationship. Music has always been Shakira’s strongest weapon, and now she is using it against her ex-partner and his parents for all the unfair treatment she received.

Recently, the ‘She Wolf’ singer targeted the Spanish star’s father, Joan Pique, using her recent creation, ‘El Jefe’. In the middle of all these dramatic incidents, someone else tried their best to insult the pop singer. The ‘Money Heist’ superstar has used a new song to throw jibes at the Colombian.

Shakira is now facing significant backlash from a prominent Spanish actor. Following the release of her latest hit, ‘El Jefe,’ Jaime Lorente Lopez, best known for his performances in ‘Elite’ and ‘Money Heist’, has criticized the ‘Loca’ singer.

Shakira’s latest creation has garnered global acclaim. The track by the 46-year-old and Fuerza Regida is on the brink of hitting thirty million views on YouTube. The artist, who boasts 12 Latin Grammy awards, proved her versatility by diving into the realm of Mexican corridos. Her sharp lyrics and vocal style resulted in fans and critics giving a wide range of reactions. However, Lorente Lopez was not at all impressed by the new song by Shakira.

He sent a four-word message in Spanish to the Barranquilla native. He tweeted, “Que pereza das Shakira.” This means, “How lazy are you, Shakira.”

Soon after his comment, the ‘Money Heist’ star faced harsh criticism from Shakira’s fans. Her latest hit has already made headlines in recent days for the lyrics that criticized Pique’s father

While her recent song is mostly about working hard for a boss who doesn’t appreciate it, one line in particular has caught the crowd’s attention. In a rare departure from her usual jabs at her ex, the ‘Waka Waka’ singer appears to be taking aim at his father, who forced her to leave his home.

They say that there is no evil that lasts more than a hundred years. But there is still my ex-father-in-law who does not set foot in a grave…These sharp lyrics from ‘El Jefe’ suggest that she is still angry with Joan Piqué and that she is not ready to forget the ill-treatment she received. The major reason for her anger would be the eviction notice he sent her after the former couple decided to part ways.

The ‘She Wolf’ singer moved to Miami with her two kids back in April. The move was delayed due to her parents’ health concerns. However, the pop sensation decided to leave, even though it was sooner than expected. The major reason behind the same was that she was unexpectedly served with an eviction notice from Piqué’s father. It seems months of poor treatment have culminated in this new song. Be that as it may, what do you think of Shakira’s new song? Let us know in the comments below.
