After Rushing to Injured Neymar’s Support, Al Hilal Eyes to Bring $13 Million-Rated Star to Saudi From Italy

Amid an outpouring of support for the forward from the global soccer community and his domestic side during this challenging period, Al Hilal is wasting no time in their quest to strengthen their squad. They have set their sights on a talented Italian star with a price tag of $13 million.

Additionally, Al Hilal is also exploring the possibility of bringing in Neymar’s former PSG teammates, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, in their efforts to maintain their competitive edge in the soccer world.

Al Hilal eyeing $13 million rated star

Tensions fly high at the headquarters of Al Hilal after their million-dollar signing, Neymar, suffered a tear-jerking injury. Already, the Riyadh side has the pressure to outshine their domestic rivals. Amid such a chaotic moment, the Middle Eastern side is looking to bolster their ranks. However, it’s not for their forward front line; rather, it’s for their defense.

Apparently, Al Hilal is looking to bring Lazio full-back Adam Marusic next summer. The 31-year-old defender shares an agent with Neymar’s current and former Lazio teammate, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Montenegrin international enjoys a positive connection with authorities in Saudi Arabia and is open to joining the Roshn Saudi League side.

Marusic joined Lazio in 2017 from Belgian outfit KV Oostende. Since then, he has impressed at the Stadio Olimpico, bagging 10 goals and 15 assists in 225 appearances (via transfermarkt). Nevertheless, it is quite an interesting development. Certainly, Marusic will give a huge boost to Jorge Jesus’ side. While the defense seems sorted, Al Hilal still needs to worry about their forward line. As their marquee player is out, the club is reportedly looking to reignite their interest in Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

Al Hilal wants to replace Neymar with Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe!

According to insiders, Al Hilal is rekindling their pursuit of either Lionel Messi or Kylian Mbappe to fill the void left by their injured Number 10. Both superstars’ names are under consideration, and there’s a possibility of making inquiries during the upcoming winter transfer window. Messi is currently available for the next four months due to Inter Miami’s exit from the MLS playoffs, while Mbappe is still part of PSG.

It’s worth noting that both Messi and Mbappe had previously turned down Al Hilal’s advances. However, only time will reveal whether Al Hilal will revisit their proposals to both players.
