His move to the foreign league has become the talk of the town. Moreover, it has started a trend to bring players from abroad to the Saudi Pro League. His transfer has enticed both his rival teams and players around the world to join his league. However, one such player has rejected a chance to play alongside Ronaldo himself.

Premier League star rejects a chance to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo

Earlier, there were rumors circulating around the town stating that Al Nassr is interested in bringing yet another player from the Premier League. The Riyadh club had been keeping tabs on Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha for quite some time. The player’s contract is expiring this summer and is available for free.

Hence, Al Nassr were keen to link Zaha up with their skipper. However, the winger has rejected a chance to play alongside the former Madrid man in an attempt to play Champions League football. In fact, Al Nassr isn’t the only club to face disappointment; earlier, Zaha rejected a $10 million-a-year deal from their arch-rivals, Al Ittihad.

The player would have seen a significant increase in his salary, as he currently earns $ 140,000 a week at Palace. However, his stay at Selhurst Park seems unlikely, as the player is keen to play in Europe. And it seems, it might be possible after all, as there has been major interest from Europe.

It seems money isn’t on Zaha’s mind, as the player has rejected a big-money move from the elite clubs of Saudi Arabia. With the summer transfer window approaching, the player is already finding potential suitors. Earlier, the Ivorian winger had interest from Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal. But that interest has seemingly faded.

Yet, there’s no need to push the panic button, as Zaha is reportedly garnering interest from other elite clubs. German giants Borussia Dortmund and Seria A giants AC Milan are keeping tabs on the 30-year-old. Either way, nothing has materialized so far, but it looks certain on his face that he wants to leave.
