With all the success behind his back, Erling Haaland is as calm as ever. The Manchester City star looks like he will turn all the stones thrown at him into flowers. He had the best season of his career last time, but now the Manchester City striker will look to keep the form going. Not scoring in the last few matches, Haaland could be missing the previous season’s scoring fate. After claiming to become a zombie on the field, he now says he loves the rival fans’ trigger.

The Norwegian is one of the contenders for this year’s Ballon d’Or alongside Argentina’s Lionel Messi. However, he is not able to keep up the pace in the last few games. The striker has a different approach to pressure from fans.

Erling Haaland likes the fan booing

We have already seen Haaland’s reaction when someone gets mad at him. A month ago, when he received the UEFA Player of the Year award, he confessed to enjoying Pep Guardiola’s shouting at him. Now, the 22-year-old says that he likes rival fans’ boos. Haaland said, “With fans from other teams. Yeah, of course, they boo me and other things but, in the end, it’s a bit of banter, you know? I love this.”

Haaland said many rival fans try to boo him, but he always likes to take it on a lighter note with a bit of humor. Haaland mentioned the importance of not getting too serious always. He felt that whatever the fans do, finally, it’s just banter and nothing more. Manchester City star hardly loses his temper on the field. The calmness he maintains enables him to score many goals.

The forward also confessed to not worrying too much about possessing the ball as his responsibility is to score goals, which he does. The forward does understand that it is common for rivals to criticize and does not allow it to get to his head.

Haaland going the Zombie way to score

People know scoring goals for Haaland is relatively easy than other strikers. However, he recently spoke about becoming a zombie.

The top scorer from last season said he starts walking on the pitch thinking about the right spot to receive the ball. Even though he does not get involved much in the midfield, he still gets to stay in the right place to receive the ball.

Haaland also emphasized not taking yourself too seriously and simply having a humorous mind. He felt people try to behave perfectly on Instagram but should not be that serious.
