Real Madrid Next, the innovative brand launched by the club, works with various startups to bring technology into every aspect of the game. The health of the players is one such aspect on which it works. As a part of this initiative, Real Madrid Next and the OURA will now work together to track the health of players.

OURA will provide Oura Rings to Real Madrid players

OURA is the company behind making the smart Oura Rings that track the athlete for overall health and sleep. The technology will help in providing insights to the club on the aspects like heart rate, heart rate variability, personalized temperature trends, activity, and sleep monitoring. All these will be possible to track through a convenient and non-invasive Oura Ring.

The ring will allow the club to track the players and their responses daily. Oura Ring, with its temperature tracking, will help to detect early signs of the illness so that the club can be proactive. A sleep monitoring system will help in stress management. The ring will also help the club to know whether the player is fully recovered and fit to start the training.

Real Madrid will provide the Oura Rings to the players once the entire squad is back at the Valdebebas after the FIFA World Cup. The second part of the season will be crucial, and the club will hope the technology will help to optimize the health of the players. The schedule will be busy after the World Cup, as the club is fighting for trophies in all the competitions.

OURA also has partnered with other sports leagues and franchises

The ring first got a significant focus when OURA entered a deal with NBA during the Covid pandemic when games took place in a bubble. Although the ring was not used as a diagnostic tool, the metrics it tracked helped the teams to know the status of the players. Teams were using this information to protect the players from Covid and its spread.
