Cristiano Ronaldo has had a rather productive international break this month. The Al Nassr forward netted a brace against Slovakia in Portugal’s 3-2 win that saw the Seleção das Quinas secure qualification for Euro 2024. He then followed that up with another 2-goal showing in Portugal’s 5-0 win over Bosnia Herzegovina scoring his 126th and 127th goal for his country, in stark contrast to Erling Haaland after Norway failed to qualify for the Euros following their 1-0 loss to Spain. But now, Ronaldo has made a comment on his fellow countryman’s achievement, and he’s not a soccer player but a surfer!

The surfer, Frederico Morais, also known as Kikas Morais, recently qualified for the 2024 World Surfing League (WSL) circuit. In recognition of his achievement, Ronaldo took to Instagram to show his support for his fellow Portuguese countryman. The Al Nassr star made a 1-word comment on Morais’ post on the social media platform following the surfer’s qualification for the 2024 World Circuit.

Portuguese surfer Kikas Morais took to Instagram to make a post following his qualification for the WSL from the round of 16 of the Saquarema Pro final stage of the Challenger Series 2023 circuit that took place in Brazil recently. Following, the surfer’s post, soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo made a 1-word comment saying,Parabéns 👏🏽💪🏽” which translates to “Congratulations” after Morais posted a video with the caption “Portugal is back on tour 🇵🇹 The video says it all”.

Ronaldo’s comments come shortly after his heroics for Portugal in the 2024 Euro qualifiers as the Seleção das Quinas booked their place in the tournament which is scheduled to take place in Germany next year. This was despite some pundits and ex-players like Mark Schwarzer questioning Ronaldo’s influence on the Portugal national team. However, it seems like a bit of a worry for Al Nassr fans after the Portuguese icon limped off in the second half against Bosnia.

While it certainly seems like Ronaldo isn’t injured or hasn’t sustained an injury that could rule him out for Al Nassr, the Portugal star will surely look to continue his fine run of form as he re-joins the Saudi club. With a lot left to play for at Al Nassr as the club challenges for trophies on several fronts, Ronaldo will surely look to translate his goal-scoring form for Portugal to his current Saudi Arabian employers as their bid to win silverware this season remains on track.
