Her move away from Barcelona in April was simply an example of how her self-sufficiency. While a source projects the Waka-Waka singer’s net worth to be a tad bit higher than $300 million, her beach house mansion in Miami just seems like a ‘big deal’ from decades ago that came in handy.

Apart from the millions she had earned throughout her career, the music artist is still a family person. On multiple occasions, she has stated that her kids have always been No.1 priority despite any situation.

Everybody is aware that Shakira’s net worth is about $300 million. Forbes estimates her net worth to have risen to more than $400 million. Over the years, she has composed back-to-back superhit albums and made so much money. Along with her diverse trophy cabinet, she has gotten more than 600 nominations throughout her career. In recent months, her property in Miami has come into the limelight.

That’s because she permanently moved to her beach house with Milan and Sasha in April. Her Miami mansion is in an ‘exclusive’ and ‘privileged’ area. It is a safe area with all the necessary amenities available nearby. Interestingly, she didn’t buy this property recently. The Hips Don’t Lie singer purchased it over two decades ago. A real estate agent told Semana that she signed in the paperwork in 2001 and paid $3.1 million for it.

The agent also revealed that the music artists shells out around $180k every year as property tax. The mansion has a majestic sea view and occupies 750 meters of space. Considering all the outdoor spaces, it expands to more than 2,000 meters. Unbelievably, this deal came in handy a few decades later, when she parted ways with her longtime boyfriend, Gerard Pique. “It is a great business that Shakira did. She bought it in 2001 for $3.1 million. Today, for what they offer in the neighborhood, it costs about 29 million dollars,” explained the real estate agent.
