Former Premier League table-toppers Liverpool will surely be disappointed with their recent performance at home. While the side had the chance to consolidate their lead at the top of the table, the side played a 0-0 draw against Manchester United at Anfield, which has seen Jurgen Klopp’s men slip to second place on the points table. It was Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal who made full use of the opportunity as the side bagged a 2-0 win over Brighton to climb to the top of the table. Following the game, Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi was full of praise for his opponents tagging him as the best team in the Premier League.
Arsenal has been in impressive form this season with the side bagging 12 wins from their 17 Premier League fixtures. Notably, the side is now at the top of the table with 39 points to their name and has a one-point advantage over Liverpool and Aston Villa, who are placed second and third, respectively.

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi was full of praise for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, following his side’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of the freshly crowned Premier League table-toppers. Zerbi and his side were outplayed for most of the game.
De Zerbi, during his press conference, lauded the Gunners stating, “Arsenal played much better than us. They deserved to win the game. We suffered a lot. I think Arsenal are one of the best, maybe this season the best team in the Premier League. We are not used to suffering in this way. We are used to controlling the game.”
There is a lot of weight behind De Zerbi’s words as Arsenal has proven as one of the top contenders for the Premier League title. However, while Mikel Arteta’s men may have climbed to the top of the table, the side has no time to become complacent.
