In a recent interaction on a Salvadoran radio broadcast, Néstor Castaneda articulated his aspiration to host prominent soccer games in the Central American country in the future. He commented, “We no longer want to settle for national matches. Today, we are seeking top-level teams from Mexico, South America, and even Europe.”

In response to a question about hosting teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid, Castaneda confirmed, “Yes, even Cristiano Ronaldo’s team (Al-Nassr).” He shed light that negotiations for this ambitious project are presently underway. The EDESSA president noted, “Considering the significant investment made for this pilot plan with Inter Miami, it is truly substantial.”

The potential friendly match with Al Nassr will undoubtedly be a delight for El Salvador fans. Notwithstanding, it is China relishing the presence of soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo at this time.
