After enjoying successful stints with Europe’s elite clubs, Ronaldo took the gamble of joining a foreign league. The player agreed to a whopping $200 million a year contract with Saudi Arabian giants, Al-Nassr.

Since then, the player has enjoyed his fair share of ups and downs with his new club. Many have been reluctant with his transfer, while some believe it’s the right choice he made. And it seems, he might have tempted other soccer stars to join him in the Pro League as well.

Premier League star could follow footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano is indeed an inspiration to millions around the world. The player is quite an influencer, both on and off the pitch, as it seems other rival teams of his side are eager to bring talents from foreign leagues.

According to several reports, Al-Nassr’s league rivals, Al-Ittihad are keeping an eye on Crystal Palace star, Wilfried Zaha. The winger’s future is looking uncertain with the Premier League club and is open to leaving if a suitable offer comes to the table.

Zaha will be available on a free transfer, as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season. Moreover, the player is mulling over his long-term future with the Glaziers and may fancy a move to an overseas league.

It is believed that Al-Ittihad is offering Zaha a lucrative contract of $10 million a year to lure the winger away from Selhurst Park. The interest remains to be seen, however, nothing has materialized till now.

What’s next for Zaha?

With just six months left on Zaha’s contract, it looks like he is all set to move away from the Eagles for a second time. However, this hasn’t stopped Palace from dissuading their marquee player.

Al-Ittihad  has tabled a £200,000-a-week contract, including bonuses that will make the 30-year-old club’s highest-ever earner. However, the tug-of-war isn’t just between the two sides, as several European giants are also keeping tabs on the no. 11.

AC Milan is interested in acquiring his services and may knock the doors for him in the summer transfer window. Moreover, his current entourage’s rivals, Tottenham, are also eyeing a move for the attacker. The player even came close to leave the club last year, with Arsenal being his potential suitors.

In the past few seasons, Crystal Palace has managed to thwart the interest of European clubs regarding his signature. However, this time they may fail to keep hold of their star man as the player is receiving alluring offers.
