Things changed after he moved to Real Madrid in 2019. Troubled with constant injuries, Eden never settled at Los Blancos and did not receive much favor from coaches either. The former Belgian Player of the Year stated, “You must listen to yourself and say stop at the right time. After 16 years and more than 700 matches played, I have decided to end my career as a professional footballer.”
32-year-old Hazard finally hung his boots last week, citing he lost interest in playing the sport. Hazard’s best spell was at Chelsea, scoring 110 goals and winning 2 Premier League titles. The winger also had a good international career and reached the semifinals of the 2018 World Cup.
