The transfer saga of Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid has come to a close, according to the manager Carlo Ancelotti. The Spanish soccer club looks to move on to different prospects. With the Mbappe transfer having dragged on for quite some time, Madrid seems to focus on other targets. The club is in need of a striker to replace Karim Benzema, who left for Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad. And so, they would want to replace a striker who fetches them goals for fun.
Among the possible names on the list, Madrid’s scouting department is working extensively on him. In fact, one name that popped up plays for Manchester City.

The club Erling Haaland last season scored 52 goals in all competitions for the club. With him leading the line for the City, Julian Alvarez might be an option to chase. With the club offering a star player role for Haaland, Alvarez’s opportunities might come into doubt. Guardiola signed him from River Plate after the 22-year-old scored 54 goals for the club. But now, with Madrid in the market for a player, Alvarez looks like the Plan B option for the club, according to SPORT.
With Manchester City also looking to sign Ewan Ferguson from Brighton and Hove Albion, that deal could mean Alvarez could cross roads for a new destination. Madrid will look for the Argentinean World Cup winner to lead the line for the club. Yet, City consistently plays him in the new campaign as he looks to make a difference. He assisted Lionel Messi to get his first World Cup trophy by proving decisive in the final third.

While Real Madrid might venture into a one-last effort to bring in Kylian Mbappe, Alvarez remains a delightful proposition. The striker strikes the ball sweetly like Sergio Aguero and knows to put the ball in the back of the net. He scored 17 goals and created five assists last season while hitting the ground running this season.
Alvarez made six appearances this season and scored two goals while creating one assist. The player has stepped up his role following Kevin De Bruyne’s untimely injury.
