The Premier League is going on in its full glory, Manchester United just won its game against Manchester City. Chelsea couldn’t help themselves from draining millions and millions in the club just to hope for survival and they are currently sitting sound at 10th place. However, the biggest news in the past couple of days related to the League isn’t from any match. This news concerns the future of the League, and how it is consumed by millions of fans back home. After winning MLS, it is an all-out war that is going to be unleashed in the soccer world soon and we have no idea what’s going to happen.

The broadcasting rights of the Premier League are safe and sound with Sky Sports and BT Sport till 2025. That means a new deal is up for grabs for the next chunk of years to broadcast the League. One tech giant is especially itching to present their bid for the rights.

Apple is gunning for the rights in soccer

According to the reports by Daily Mail, Apple TV is set to make it to the war against Sky Sports. It came after their brand new plan of owning the broadcasting rights for the Premier League. The tech giant has recently made their first few steps in the soccer industry as it made a monumental deal in the USA and produced a documentary about the European Super League.

According to the reports, a lot of Apple’s fresh interest came from clubs with American owners like Chelsea. It convinced Todd Boehly that priced at an eye-watering 5.1 Billion Pounds or 6.23 Billion USD for three years, the broadcasting rights of the Premier League are in massive undervalue.

With the ultimate plan in mind, apple will be sitting on the planning board for months as the bids will open in the later quarters of this year. If Apple cracks this deal it would blow the MLS Deal out of the park, they just signed. Imagine having both MLS and Premier League rights. This will make the ROI for apple.

Apple’s monumental deal with MLS

In early 2022, Apple shocked the fans when they announced a deal with MLS. They had won the broadcasting rights of MLS for a full decade. The deal would come effectively from the kickoff of the 2023 season. The 2.5 billion USD deal sounds like a bargain in front of 6 billion USD for just three years for the Premier League.
