After GF Bruna Complained About Saudi, Neymar Jr’s Sister Admits Being ‘In Pain’ From Middle-East Trip After Al Hilal Transfer

The recent move of Neymar Jr. to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal sparked quite a bit of chatter. However, it wasn’t just Neymar’s impressive transfer fee of $435 million that made headlines. The unexpected complaints and health issues faced by his girlfriend, Bruna, and sister, Rafaella, during their visit to Saudi Arabia, have raised eyebrows and concern.

A few days after Neymar‘s much-anticipated move to Al Hilal, Bruna took to Instagram to vent her frustrations about the traffic in Riyadh. Bruna also candidly expressed her discomfort with the scorching Saudi heat. 

Neymar’s sister, Rafaella Santos, entered the spotlight with a painful revelation

Rafaella disclosed on her Instagram that she had been absent from the internet due to health issues. In a candid video post, she opened up about months of pain she had been enduring. Which had intensified during her visit to Saudi Arabia. 

She opened up about her ordeal, saying, “I was away because I enjoyed the holiday. I disconnected from the internet, it was a great holiday. But also because I had a lot of pain in my sciatic nerve. I took a lot of antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, a lot of pain medication, and strong drugs.” 

She revealed the severity of her condition, stating, “I’ve had this pain for a few months, but I felt it most when I was in [Saudi] Arabia. When I came back, I had tests and MRI scans. I have edema, I have to do physiotherapy, get back to training slowly, because I can’t take any weight.”

Rafaella had been suffering from intense pain for months, and her visit to the Middle East had intensified her discomfort to the point where she needed immediate medical attention upon her return to Brazil. Rafaella is not just Neymar’s sister; she is an integral part of his life.

Neymar and Rafaella’s relationship

Rafaella Santos boasts an impressive fan base of six million followers on social media, paralleling her brother’s fame. Like Neymar, Rafaella enjoys a good party and is known for her active participation in the Rio Carnival.

Her presence often triggers speculation about his injuries before important events, such as her February birthday celebration in Brazil. In fact, injuries sustained in February have led to Neymar’s unavailability for his club during his sister’s birthday for eight of the past nine seasons. 

But February isn’t the only month marked by Neymar’s injuries. The Brazilian superstar has grappled with various injury complaints that have sidelined him and affected his professional journey.
