As Johan Cruyff once said, ‘You can’t score if you don’t shoot. The attack-minded players in the team should have a similar mentality. The forwards need to take certain risks, make mistakes, and use their creative spark to unlock the opposition’s defenses. One who certainly agrees with this is Thierry Henry, one of the greatest players ever in the Premier League. Now, the Arsenal legend has similar advice for one of the USMNT’s most prominent talents.

Despite people criticizing Lionel Messi for his performances for PSG, the Frenchman, who is also his former Barcelona teammate, believes that the World Cup winner did not fail at the French club and made his mark on the club. He believes that Messi is a part of the club’s history. And recently, Henry chimed in with some advice for an American star.

Thierry Henry recently had some advice for AC Milan star Christian Pulisic, who had been struggling with form. The former Gunner quoted, speaking on CBS Sports, “As a creative player if you don’t try to make mistakes, you cannot succeed. I can see on the national team, [Pulisic] feels like, ‘I can make mistakes.’ When you play on the big club [team], you play the ball one time, and it’s a mistake, and the next time you touch it is 15 minutes after.”

Pulisic only made two goal contributions for the Blues last season. The former Chelsea winger made his move to the Italian giants this season. He is starting to show his potential at the Rossoneri, where he has already started scoring. Henry believes that Pulisic should play with the same confidence with which he plays with the national team for AC Milan.

Further, Henry believes that Pulisic should play with the same confidence with which he plays with the national team for AC Milan. He has averaged a goal or assist about every 1.5 games with the USMNT. Pulisic plays with liberty with the US National team but is afraid to make mistakes with Milan. There are suggestions that the Milan forward needs to be more willing to take risks. He must shatter these limits to reach his potential.

What went wrong for Lionel Messi at PSG?

As Thierry Henry said, “When He Played for Argentina, There Was a Structure.” When asked by former PSG winger Jerome Rothen why Messi’s spell at PSG was disappointing, the Frenchman replied, “I’ll tell you why. I’ll remind you that when I first came to Amazon, I said, ‘I’d like to play this team; it’s a headache.’ Again, I was talking about structure organization. I know you’re going to laugh again, but how do you play with all three at once? When he played for Argentina, there was a structure. There aren’t three Messis, just him.”

However, in the era of the high-press and determined attackers, the trio would always struggle without the ball. The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner left PSG after only two seasons. Now, he has found his spark again in Inter Miami. The Argentine has already reached double figures in goal contributions for the club. He is also one of the favorites to win the Ballon d’Or this year.
