Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portugal team continue to mesmerize on and off the field this Euro. Having outclassed Turkey with a 3-0 scoreline, Ronaldo’s side stylishly cruised into the European competition’s knockout stages last night. Elsewhere, Brazil star Neymar‘s ex-girlfriend Bruna Biancardi is jumping with joy, thanks to Portugal. She placed a four-figure bet on Portugal and made a five-figure return off Ronaldo and co.’s stellar win. Bruna’s gambling success story hits the soccer world while fans are still in awe of UFC megastar Conor McGregor’s $63K bet on the Portuguese captain.

Bruna Biancardi has famously been endorsing a Brazilian online gambling platform named Blaze. As per the Brazilian model’s Instagram story, she took to the gambling platform and bet 7,000 Brazilian Reals on Portugal to beat Turkiye. In the screenshot shared on Bruna’s story, we could see that she secured 10,920 Reals in return after Portugal completed the group stage clash. While Neymar’s ex’s bet on Portugal proved fruitful there is a bleak chance for McGregor to make the best of his bet on CR7.

The Irish MMA icon bet $63,000 on Cristiano Ronaldo to become the UEFA Euro’s top goal scorer. Considering McGregor’s close association with Ronaldo and his lavish spending habits, this five-figure bet is no surprise. However, CR7 is yet to score in this Euro after two matches. Besides, the Portuguese players are giving more opportunities for youngsters to score goals, instead of depending on their captain. Interestingly, the Portuguese captain himself chose not to score when he had an obvious chance. Instead, he set up Bruno Fernandez for Portugal’s third and final goal for Turkiye. And what did that assist lead to? Yet another record for Ronaldo!

Just when he assembled for the Portuguese team in their first game against the Czech Republic, Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a record. He became the only player to feature in six UEFA Euros. With an assist to Fernandez in the next match, Ronaldo became the Euro’s all-time assists leader, equalling Czechia’s Karel Poborsky’s eight assists. Portugal faces Georgia in their final group game on June 26. That day, he can beat Poborsky and cement his position at the top of the assists leaderboard. Or better, he could score and bring a smile to his pal McGregor’s face.

As far as Ronaldo is concerned, the match against Turkey changed the discourse about him in the soccer verse. Earlier, pundits, journalists, and fans doubted the Al Nassr star’s abilities at the age of 39 and claimed he was past his prime. However, he turned that tide with one selfless assist. But CR7’s and Portugal’s work is far from done. Having won the Euro in 2016, Portugal is one of the favorites to win the tournament. Only the knockouts will tell how far Ronaldo and Co. will go and keep on bringing good news to fans who bet on Portugal.
