Messi’s Instagram account experiences a surge of millions of interactions. The engagement with his posts witnessed a substantial rise, especially following his victory in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and his subsequent move to Inter Miami. Perhaps social media is the only way to connect with Messi. But it seems that is also not a viable option left for many.

While his followers can still leave comments on his photos, one major accessible means of contact is now unavailable. However, keen-eyed fans observed a significant change. Apparently, Messi is no longer able to receive direct messages (DMs) on his Instagram account.
