Portugal Women have a big challenge on their hands as they clash against the USWNT in their last group stage clash. Kika Nazareth, who just broke Cristiano Ronaldo‘s record for becoming Portugal’s youngest goalscorer in the World Cup, will have to bring her best game forward to guide Portugal to a win.

Both teams will head into the fixture looking for a win. A loss will end their chances of making it into the knockout stages. While the USWNT are favorites to win the game, Portugal can pull off an upset and qualify ahead in the tournament.

“We have reached the last game depending only on us and that is what was asked of us. We have the United States ahead of us, the champion of the last two editions, who has not lost for I don’t know how many years [since 2011] in a final stage, but I also think we have been doing a good job. You have to believe, you have to work, and I think we’ve been doing that in the best possible way”.

“We are aware of what awaits us, but we are focused on ourselves, which is very important. We go out onto the pitch with respect, with humility, but with character and personality. The work will be there, the talent is there.”
