Beckham has been the face of Haig Club, owned by Diageo, since 2014. Hence, several fans were shocked after Diageo confirmed the end of the partnership news to The Spirits Business.

Ivan Menezes, Diageo’s chief executive, said: “David has been a fantastic partner for almost a decade and we are proud of what has been achieved with Haig Club. We look forward to seeing how David broadens his business portfolio over the coming years and thank him for his hard work and commitment to our brand.”

Indeed, Beckham ending the partnership with $96.21 billion worth of company left a lot of unanswered questions. However, it’s now confirmed that the Manchester United legend will part ways with Haig Club to pursue his own drinks brand. Diageo also confirms that they wouldn’t be surprised if Beckham’s own drink brand establishes a big name in the future.
