The pre-season tour of Wrexham AFC was nothing less than a rollercoaster ride. The Welsh club concluded their U.S. tour with a loss, two wins, and a draw, which they endured today against Philadelphia Union II. Likewise, their final match ended with both sides facing a few obstacles.
Apparently, the adverse weather conditions made things difficult for the spectators that were present in the stadium. Interestingly, Wrexham’s star player, Paul Mullin, was also watching from his hospital bed. In fact, while watching his side in action, he somehow made a peculiar request.

Remarkably, the second half between Wrexham and Philadelphia was delayed for more than two hours because of heavy rain and intense lightning. Of course, it made things difficult for the players and the spectators. But more surprisingly, it also posed a few problems for the Red Dragons’ star player, Paul Mullin.
Apparently, the striker is currently on bed rest after suffering a horrific injury. But that didn’t stop him from supporting his beloved side. However, while watching, he had a major complaint. The striker posted a picture of the TV screen on his Instagram story and wrote, “Someone ask the cameraman to wipe his lense please.” It seems the TV broadcaster’s cameraman covered the whole match with dirty lenses.

This must have happened due to the hail and storm that came during the match. But he forgot to wipe the camera. Hence, this led to rather dull coverage of the match. Nevertheless, it was an honest mistake by the cameraman as well, who didn’t notice the dirty lens.
Perhaps this explains why Mullin made such a strange appeal. Meanwhile, the striker continues to recover from the horrific injury he sustained against Manchester United.

A few days ago, Wrexham clinched an emphatic 3-1 victory against Premier League side Manchester United. However, the Red Dragons suffered a significant setback as their star player had to leave the field due to a serious injury. Early in the match, the 28-year-old forward collided with United’s goalkeeper, Nathan Bishop, resulting in a distressing scene. Medical staff quickly provided him with oxygen before he was rushed to the hospital
Subsequently, Bishop received a yellow card for his part in the collision. After the match, manager Phil Parkinson disclosed that Mullin had suffered a punctured lung and expressed strong feelings about the young United goalkeeper. The Welsh side was clearly upset about losing their key player, despite Bishop’s prompt apology right after the game. Hopefully, Mullin makes a swift recovery, considering the new season is just around the corner.
