Neymar Jr’s change of heart after heartbreak from the ‘worst’ moment

In a recent interview with ESPN, Neymar Jr revealed the grief he went through after the World Cup. Croatia shockingly eliminated Brazil in the quarterfinal of the World Cup. The Brazilians ended up losing on penalties. Neymar Jr revealed, “I, after the World Cup, honestly, I didn’t want to (return to the Brazilian team). (But) I rethought (laughs). Because I’m very hungry, right? I rethought”.

“After the World Cup, I didn’t want to go through the pain of losing, but seeing my family suffering a lot, that weighs heavily”. The PSG winger revealed that he cried for ‘five days straight’. He said, “It hurts a lot to see your dream go away out of nowhere, the way it was”.  Neymar Jr continued, “It was the worst moment of my life”, as translated by DeepL.

He concluded by calling that feeling a ‘horrible’ one. Certainly, he did not want to go through that again. But a few days later, he had a change of heart. In the interview, he funnily said that his family would have to ‘hold out’ again because he will play in the 2026 World Cup. While he continues to recover from an injury, Neymar Jr and his girlfriend have been the talk of the town in recent times.
