Apple had struck a $2.5 billion deal to get the exclusive rights for streaming MLS matches. During a recent presentation at the launch of iPhone 15, a Lionel Messi graphic showed up.

Messi is poised to receive a portion of Apple’s substantial $2.5 billion, decade-long deal with the MLS. It was reported that the companies deliberated the possibility of granting him a portion of the earnings generated from the MLS Season Pass, the league’s streaming package available on Apple TV+.

Xavier Asensi, who previously worked 11 years with Barcelona before joining Inter Miami to become their Chief Business Officer (CBO), talked about this magical deal that has already generated a lot of profits. He predicts that the club will rake in $224 million in profits in the coming years. The Florida-based club has already generated a profit of $56 million in the year 2022.

Asensi also talks about the club’s plans to invest in building a new stadium to house a huge capacity of spectators. The club is planning to build a new stadium that will be named “Freedom Park Stadium”. It is expected to be opened for the fans by 2025. The new stadium will exceed the current stadium’s capacity by 30,000.
