Al Nassr suffered consecutive league defeats at the start of their campaign with the star players underperforming in both the games. Fans took to social media to express their frustration with the team’s performance and CR7’s actions during the match.

Ronaldo’s return from injury was marred by Al Nassr’s 2-1 loss to Al Taawoun in their second match of the season. He was seen visibly angry with the team’s performance and the missed goal-scoring opportunities by the newly recruited players. However, fans felt that it was hypocritical of Ronnie to be anguished as he himself had a number of poor moments during the game.

Al Nassr’s struggles in the Saudi Pro League had cast a shadow over their recent success in the Arab Club Champions Cup. Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s performance against Al Taawoun was a far cry from his usual standards. He was unable to influence the game and missed several easy chances.

Despite his poor performance, Ronaldo was seen berating his teammate Marcelo Brozovic for shooting a ball right at the goalkeeper. The former Los Blancos star was also witnessed arguing with the referee in protest of the decision to disallow a penalty during the game. Many soccer fans were critical of CR7’s attitude and expressed their displeasure on social media. Some fans tweeted, “Absolutely Shameless” and also claimed the former Los Blancos star, “finished” after his poor performance throughout the game.

Fans also made a comparison between CR7 and La Pulga in their tweet.

Supporters were also disgusted by El Presidente’s action with his armband.

One of the fans also felt either way about the referee.

Additionally, attacking players such as Anderson Talisca, Sadio Mane, and Marcelo Brozovic had all failed to live up to expectations, missing headers and taking poor shots on goal. The Saudi side struggled to find their attacking rhythm, despite outshooting with 24 shots. However, only 5 of their strikes were on target, compared to 6 for the visitors. Meanwhile, Al Nassr was languishing in 15th place on the table after losing their last two games.

Al Nassr spent heavily in the recent transfer window, bringing in star players from European leagues. Surprisingly, they did not yet win a single game this season in the league. Al-Alami finished second in the Saudi Pro League last season, five points behind the champions. As of now, the Saudi side was six points behind the leaders after the second game of the new season.

Al-Alami was one of the five teams in the Saudi Pro League that did not yet win a match. They are currently outside the relegation zone, but only due to more goals scored than the below teams. Fans hope that CR7’s side could bounce back into winning ways as the season commences.
