Wrexham AFC is currently living the dream. The club has achieved humongous success, fame, and glory under the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McEelhenney. Both have significantly impacted the club, as they are desperate for major success. Not only the men’s side, but the women’s side has also achieved significant success and earned quite a name for itself.

The women have made the entire club proud. They also helped Reynolds and McElhenney win their first silverware since their takeover. As a token of reward, he even penned a million-dollar deal for them. And it seems the women have once again brought their names to the headlines, as Reynolds recently hailed them.
Ryan Reynolds hails women’s team
It seems there are going to be not one but two promotion parties as the women’s side was recently crowned champions of the women’s division. They clinched a thrilling promotion to the Genero Adran Premier after a narrow win against Briton Ferry Llansawel.
It is a joyous moment in the club’s history, as both teams are performing quite well. And this achievement has, of course, urged Reynolds to pen down a few words for the women’s team. The player shared a picture of the team celebrating and wrote a heartwarming caption, “And this…just AMAZING. So proud of these absolute BALLERS.”

Indeed, it was a heartfelt message that Reynolds had for the team, whose names have been written in the history books. Steve Dale’s side traveled to Newtown’s Latham Park, where they clinched a narrow 0-1 win. Rebecca Pritchard’s strike was enough to get Wrexham AFC Women promoted to the top flight of the Welsh Women’s League.
This will be the first time the women’s side gets promoted ever since the club was formed. The entire team lit up after the final whistle blew as club captain Kim Dutton lifted the trophy. This is indeed an enormous victory for the club and the team. Moreover, Reynolds will be hoping to achieve the same feat with the men’s side as well.
Wrexham eyeing another promotion
After the women’s promotion, Reynolds will be hoping to get his men’s side to also get promoted to the fourth division. They recently came away with an emphatic win against Yeovil Town. Phil Parkinson’s side hosted one of the final three fixtures at the Racecourse Ground, where they thrashed the visitors 3-0.

The win gave a significant boost to their promotion chances. Now they are just a few baby steps away from achieving glory. Only two fixtures remain, and a win is needed in either of them. The next one is against Boreham Wood, while the final fixture is on away soil against Torquay United. Hence, they’ll be more focused than ever to clinch success in either of them.
