In the song, Shakira took some heavy shots at her ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique and the person he cheated on the Colombian singer with, Clara Chia Marti. The song instantly became a big hit, topping several charts.

Karol G confirms her collab with Shakira

The song is supposed to be named TGQ, and the music is a reggaeton-tinged minor-key ballad about sisterhood and “letting a lot of anger go”. Karol G confirmed the news in an interview with the New York Times, saying that she’s wanted to collaborate with Shakira for a long time but that the right song never came along.

Karol G discussed the response from Shakira when she was presented with the track by the Latin trap musician. “She was, like ‘Oh my God, thank you. Those lyrics are perfectly the way I feel right now,” Karol G said.
