However, the air of celebration soon turned somber when Saudi Arabia’s Sports Minister dropped a bombshell. The diplomat insinuated that the trophy isn’t a major trophy contrary to the sentiment aired by Cristiano and his fans. This statement has been the talk of the internet ever since.

After the historic All Saudi Arab Club Champions Cup final, the Minister of Sports of Saudi Arabia expressed gratitude first. He thanked “Allah” for the successful organization of the tournament. He then weighed in on the quality of the competition which was extremely high despite being a friendly tournament.

“Despite it being considered a friendly tournament, there was serious competition in this championship,” said the diplomat.  He then wished everyone luck and success. “I wish success to all the Arab clubs and national teams, God willing, from His Highness and from myself.”

Just when it felt like Al Nassr were out of the game, the former Real Madrid talisman scored a brace in the last 15 minute to complete the comeback win. It was a vintage CR7 performance and based on his on-field celebrations, the talisman was super happy.

After the match, he took his happy mode to social media where he expressed his contentment for winning such a prestigious trophy. “Extremely proud to helped the team winning this important trophy for the 1st time! Thank you to everyone in the club that was involved in this great achievement and to my family and friends for always being by my side!,” shared the Al Nassr player on Instagram.
